On the weekend of 14 and 15 October 2006, the North Yorkshire Coastal town of Scarborough played host to Thundercat Racing, the international spectator friendly powerboat racing championship

These pictures were taken on the Sunday, as you can see the weather was grey but surprisingly mild. It was great that you could get remarkably close to the action, the Thundercats powerboat series is scheduled to return to Scarborough in 2007, hopefully during Scarboroughs summer season it can draw some much larger crowds.
